Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Workers' Compensation Defense Associate Attorney to join its team. This fully remote position is open to attorneys based anywhere within the state of Florida. In this role, the attorney will independently manage a diverse caseload while partnering closely with a senior-level attorney to develop litigation strategies and deliver exceptional legal service.

Duties

• Oversee a varied caseload focused on Workers' Compensation defense matters.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop customized litigation approaches for each case.
• Conduct thorough reviews and analysis of medical records to support case strategy and argument development.
• Draft a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and case summaries.
• Maintain consistent, clear communication with clients, ensuring they are well-informed and supported throughout the process.
• Efficiently manage tasks and deadlines in a remote work environment, demonstrating both independence and accountability.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience handling Workers' Compensation defense matters.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and document drafting abilities.
• Proven skill in reviewing and interpreting medical records in the context of legal cases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively manage a caseload while working remotely with minimal supervision.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active and in-good-standing membership with the Florida Bar.
