A law firm seeks a Junior Corporate Attorney to join its team in Winter Haven, FL. This full-time, hybrid position offers an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a strong business and transactional law background to work in a dynamic and growing practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in regulated industries, particularly in contract drafting and business structuring, and will be eager to develop expertise in the transportation and logistics field. Duties

  • Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including transportation contracts, warehousing agreements, leases, purchase agreements, and service contracts.
  • Assist in the research and analysis of business issues related to transportation law, secured transactions, and dispute resolution, providing timely and well-reasoned legal advice.
  • Support risk management strategies for clients, including addressing insurance coverage issues within the transportation and logistics sector.
  • Participate in due diligence processes for mergers, acquisitions, and the sale of transportation-related businesses.
  • Draft and respond to demand letters, and support in employment or litigation matters as necessary.
  • Manage client matters efficiently, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
  • Conduct legal research to support regulatory compliance audits and respond to transportation law investigations.
  • Demonstrate initiative by taking responsibility for tasks and seeking professional development opportunities in the transportation sector.
  • Engage in industry networking and business development activities, expanding client relationships and opportunities.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience practicing corporate law, preferably in regulated industries such as transportation.
  • Strong experience with contract drafting, business structuring, and providing legal advice to clients on strategic decisions.
  • Ability to manage high-volume workloads while delivering high-quality legal services.
  • Interest in transportation law and the willingness to learn and develop expertise in this area.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present legal concepts.
  • Ability to think critically, analyze legal issues, and offer practical solutions for clients.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and client service.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to a Bar Association (Florida preferred).
