The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience and a passion for providing high-quality legal services.

Duties:

• Handle defense litigation matters, focusing on medical malpractice, professional negligence, and construction defect claims.

• Manage cases from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.

• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and legal analysis.

• Maintain case files and provide regular updates to clients.

• Engage in legal research to support case preparation.

• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses.

• Assist with settlement negotiations and trial preparation.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of defense litigation experience, preferably in medical malpractice, professional negligence, or construction defect claims.

• Strong legal research and writing skills.

• Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work independently.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal matters with professionalism and diligence.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active bar admission in the state of Louisiana.

Skills:
