Duties:
Handle defense litigation matters, focusing on medical malpractice, professional negligence, and construction defect claims.
Manage cases from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and legal analysis.
Maintain case files and provide regular updates to clients.
Engage in legal research to support case preparation.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses.
Assist with settlement negotiations and trial preparation.
Requirements:
2-5 years of defense litigation experience, preferably in medical malpractice, professional negligence, or construction defect claims.
Strong legal research and writing skills.
Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal matters with professionalism and diligence.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Active bar admission in the state of Louisiana.
