Trademark Attorney

A law firm in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a Trademark Attorney to assist clients with trademark matters and provide advice on intellectual property structuring. The ideal candidate will have experience prosecuting trademarks with the USPTO and possess strong computer and interpersonal skills.

Duties:

• Assist new clients with trademark matters and intellectual property structuring
• Prosecute trademarks with the USPTO
• Provide legal advice and counsel on trademark-related issues
• Conduct trademark searches and clearance reviews
• Draft and file trademark applications and responses to office actions
• Manage trademark portfolios for clients
• Conduct due diligence on trademark matters for corporate transactions
• Handle trademark enforcement matters, including cease and desist letters and infringement actions
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and government agencies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of trademark matters

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar in good standing
• Experience prosecuting trademarks with the USPTO
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in legal research tools
• Excellent people skills and ability to work with clients and colleagues
• Sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Prior trademark experience is preferred

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar in good standing
