Duties:

• Conduct in-depth legal research and case analysis

• Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs

• Participate in trial preparation including preparing witnesses and organizing exhibits

• Represent clients in court hearings and depositions

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and execution

• Stay current with laws, regulations, and legal precedents relevant to litigation practice

Requirements:

• 2–6 years of civil litigation experience

• Strong background in trial preparation, legal writing, and research

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal matters

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work both independently and within a team setting

• High ethical standards and professional demeanor

• Familiarity with maritime, railroad, or construction disputes is advantageous but not mandatory

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Virginia State Bar

• Good standing with all applicable legal licensing boards
