Job Overview: An established law firm is seeking a skilled Transactional Labor & Employment Associate to join its Executive Compensation, Employment & Benefits Group. This non-litigation role is ideal for candidates with at least 3 years of employment counseling experience. The associate will focus on providing employment guidance during corporate transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, and advising employers on all aspects of the employment relationship. This position requires a high degree of discretion and professionalism in managing sensitive information.

Duties:

• Provide employment-related advice and counsel during corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
• Support employers across diverse industries on compliance, employee relations, and policy matters.
• Collaborate with corporate transaction teams to address employment issues within transactional frameworks.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive, confidential, and proprietary information in accordance with firm policies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of employment counseling experience, preferably with an emphasis on transactional matters.
• Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations applicable to corporate transactions.
• Proven ability to offer strategic advice on complex employment issues within a business setting.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction or eligibility for timely admission based on office location.

Skills:

• Expertise in employment law, focusing on non-litigation counseling and corporate transactions.
• Strong analytical skills and capacity to advise clients on intricate employment issues.
