Tax Associate Attorney or Of Counsel

Profile

A law firm in Jackson is seeking a Tax Associate Attorney or Of Counsel to participate in building the existing practice, engage in significant client contact, and move into a leadership role in the long term. The ideal candidate should be academically distinguished with excellent writing and analytical skills, holding a Juris Doctorate or better in Law. They must have 5+ years of relevant experience in estate planning.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and support in estate planning matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on tax laws, regulations, and precedents.
• Draft legal documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
• Advise clients on tax implications of estate planning decisions.
• Represent clients in estate planning proceedings, including probate and trust administration.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate or better in Law.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in estate planning.
• Admission to the State Bar or eligibility for admission.
• Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
