Mid-Level Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney for their New York City office. The Mid-Level Associate Attorney will play a vital role in the finance practice group, focusing on drafting and negotiating commitment papers, security agreements, credit agreements, and other loan documents. General corporate experience is also required for this role.

Duties:

• Draft and negotiate a variety of finance documents, including commitment papers, security agreements, and credit agreements.
• Conduct due diligence and assist in closings for finance transactions.
• Provide legal advice on UCC matters and ensure compliance.
• Assist with general corporate matters as needed.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex transactions.

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of general finance experience.
• Experience in drafting and negotiating commitment papers, security agreements, credit agreements, and other loan documents.
• Strong understanding of UCC matters and compliance.
• General corporate experience.
• High level of academic achievement preferred.
• Solid law firm experience preferred.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the New York State Bar (or ability to waive in).

Skills:

• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work in a team environment.
