Duties

• Handle Master Calendar and Individual (Merits) Hearings.
• Collaborate with paralegals and support staff.
• Craft and litigate motions to reopen, reconsider, and terminate.
• Prepare and file appeals and briefs before the BIA.
• Conduct legal research and draft persuasive legal memoranda.
• Analyze FOIA responses and develop litigation strategies.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings.
• Appear at USCIS interviews when required.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing with a U.S. state bar (California preferred).
• Minimum 2-3 years of removal defense experience required.
• Strong motion and appellate writing skills.
• Spanish fluency (spoken and written) required.
• Able to work independently and travel occasionally.
• Able to be in-person at the office in Los Angeles, CA.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license and good standing with a U.S. state bar.

Skills

• Spanish fluency (spoken and written).
