A law firm is currently seeking a Litigation Attorney with a focus on commercial transactions to join their team in Rockford, IL. The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for managing and representing clients in commercial transactions. The ideal candidate should possess a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and hold an active State of Illinois Law license in good standing. The candidate should have 3-7 years of experience in handling commercial transactions.

Duties:

• Represent clients in commercial transaction cases, including contract disputes, negotiations, and breach of contract matters.
• Draft and review legal documents related to commercial transactions, such as contracts, agreements, and deeds.
• Conduct legal research to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Provide legal advice and guidance on complex commercial transactions.
• Collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders in the resolution of commercial disputes.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations as necessary.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active State of Illinois Law license in good standing.
• 3-7 years of experience in commercial transactions.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial laws, contract principles, and business regulations.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a legal team.
