RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as an in-house commercial generalist, providing advice and assistance on a wide range of commercial matters (including procurement and real estate matters). Commercial obligations include reviewing, analyzing, drafting and/or negotiating a broad array of agreements and coordinating the use of outside counsel on such matters as necessary. Manage foreign counsel, as required, to provide commercial and claims/litigation support to Business Units outside the United States. Work with the Business Units to improve their understanding of legal risks including conducting periodic training and assisting with the integration of newly-acquired Business Units. Assist with commercial claims/litigation, with a focus on the development of case strategy and effective oversight of outside counsel, including the development of and adherence to budgets. Assist with corporate governance of IDEX subsidiaries in the U.S. and globally.
