Biotech-Life Science Patent Prosecution / Scientist or Patent Agent
The candidate should have excellent academic credentials and communication and interpersonal skills. An advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in molecular or cell biology, immunology, genetics, cell physiology/biophysics, biochemistry, or a comparable life science field is required. Must have 2+ years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications for life sciences, biotech or pharmaceuticals inventions; and/or experience in biotech commercialization, such as university tech transfer, or industry commercialization/regulatory compliance. Previous law firm or industry experience and current patent bar membership is preferred. Should demonstrate the ability to apply scientific expertise together with commercial and legal considerations to understand our clients’ big picture in the commercialization sense; is comfortable with oral presentation and explanation of work product; is comfortable and effective at working independently; and is comfortable with remotely supporting supervising attorneys in multiple offices.
