Profile

The Litigation Associate Attorney will become an integral part of the firm's ongoing representation of major corporate clients in complex commercial, securities, and employment litigation. This role will involve working on cases that often include the defense of class actions. The successful candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, superior drafting and research abilities, and a strong academic record. Previous experience with an AmLaw 100 law firm is highly desired. The candidate should be admitted to practice law in Washington state and demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Additionally, a minimum of one year of post-law school graduation experience as a federal or state court trial or appellate judicial clerk is required.

Duties:

  • Provide legal representation and counsel to major corporate clients in complex commercial, securities, and employment litigation.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies.
  • Collaborate with a team of legal professionals to develop and execute effective litigation strategies.
  • Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and hearings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and records.
  • Handle cases involving class action defense.
  • Manage a complex and fast-paced workload, prioritizing tasks and anticipating potential issues.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of litigation experience.
  • Admission to practice law in Washington state.
  • Experience with an AmLaw 100 law firm is highly desirable.
  • Superior drafting and research skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong academic record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Post-law school graduation experience as a federal or state court trial or appellate judicial clerk for a minimum of one year.
