Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a skilled Workers' Compensation Attorney to represent primarily government clients in trials, depositions, and other legal proceedings. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience gathering and reviewing medical records, taking depositions of medical experts, drafting pleadings and legal documents, and communicating effectively with claims representatives. The attorney must be licensed to practice law in Illinois and possess at least 2-5 years of relevant experience, particularly in litigating workers' compensation claims before the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission.

Duties:

• Represent the interests of primarily government clients in trials, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
• Gather and review medical records pertinent to workers' compensation claims.
• Conduct depositions of medical experts.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents related to workers' compensation cases.
• Communicate effectively with claims representatives and other relevant parties.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding workers' compensation matters.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois.
• 2-5 years of experience practicing law, focusing on workers compensation.
• Proven experience litigating workers' compensation claims before the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission.
• Strong knowledge of Illinois worker's compensation laws and regulations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
