Duties

  • Manage assigned immigration cases from consultation through final resolution.
  • Provide comprehensive immigration legal counsel and conduct client consultations.
  • Prepare and file immigration applications and petitions.
  • Represent clients in immigration court and federal court as needed.
  • Conduct legal research and draft persuasive legal writing.
  • Review denials and develop strategies for appeals or other remedies.
  • Supervise and train paralegals, legal assistants, and case managers.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and task tracking in the case management system.
  • Stay current on changes in immigration law and policy.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school or LL.M. from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Active U.S. State Bar membership in good standing.
  • 3-5 years of relevant immigration experience.
  • Experience managing matters independently in a high-volume environment.

Education

  • J.D. or LL.M. from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

  • Active U.S. State Bar membership.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Strong analytical thinking and legal judgment.
