Job Overview

A law firm seeks an attorney with litigation experience, preferably in the financial services industry, to join their office in Irvine, California. This role offers an opportunity to develop strong litigation skills in a dynamic environment, representing financial institutions.

Duties

• Manage case files and engage in motion practice.
• Participate in courtroom opportunities and depositions.
• Prepare for trials and engage in alternative dispute resolution.
• Draft pleadings, including demurrers and motions.
• Conduct e-discovery and fact development.
• Propound and respond to written discovery.
• Appear in state and federal courts for case management and pre-trial matters.

Requirements

• Experience in a regional, national, or reputable local law firm preferred.
• Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills required.
• Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.
• Active California license required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Active membership in the California State Bar.

Skills

• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Strategic and analytical skills in addressing client challenges.
• Familiarity with (R)FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA, UCC, EFTA, TILA, and UCL/UDAP.
