A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its General Liability and Product Liability practice group in Walnut Creek, CA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in handling defense general liability and product liability cases.

Duties

• Handle local and national accounts throughout California.
• Independently manage a litigation caseload.
• Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for deposition and trial.
• Review and analyze discovery requests.
• Prepare and respond to discovery responses and pleadings.
• Prepare court filings and service to counsel, including e-filing.
• Engage in trial preparation and support.
• Maintain accurate time records.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience in general liability and product liability.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the state of California.
• Experience with motion practice and depositions.
• Experience taking lead in plaintiff and expert depositions.
• Capable of independent work.
• Work in an organized and efficient manner.
• Superior research and writing skills.
• Ability to multi-task and analyze complex matters.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in the state of California.
