A law firm in Champaign is currently seeking an Attorney with 0-10 years of banking law experience. The ideal candidate should possess a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and have an active State of Illinois and/or Missouri Law license in good standing. The Attorney will play a pivotal role in handling legal matters related to banking law for the law firm. This position requires expertise in financial regulations, lending practices and the ability to provide comprehensive legal advice to banking clients.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel to banking clients on regulatory compliance and financial transactions.
• Draft and review legal documents related to banking transactions, including loan agreements and security documents.
• Assist in negotiating and structuring financial deals between banks and clients.
• Conduct legal research on banking laws, regulations, and industry trends.
• Represent clients in banking-related disputes and litigation.
• Collaborate with financial institutions to develop and implement legal strategies.
• Stay updated on changes in banking laws and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active State of Illinois and/or Missouri Law license in good standing.
• 0-10 years of experience in banking law.
• In-depth knowledge of banking regulations and financial transactions.
• Strong negotiation and transactional skills.
