Duties:
Handle complex construction litigation matters, including drafting and arguing motions, preparing discovery, taking depositions, and trying cases.
Manage a diverse caseload of commercial and construction litigation cases, including arbitration and trial preparation.
Work closely with a partner, other associates, and staff to represent clients in high-stakes litigation.
Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and experts throughout the litigation process.
Meet deadlines while managing the demands of multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
5 years of experience as a licensed commercial litigation attorney, with a focus on construction litigation.
Experience drafting and arguing complex motions, preparing discovery, and taking depositions.
Comfortable handling litigation in both state and federal courts.
Ability to manage complex commercial litigation cases with limited supervision.
Strong legal writing skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Licensed to practice law in Texas.
Skills:
Strong background in commercial and construction litigation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience working with a team and managing a diverse caseload.
