Job Title: Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in San Diego, CA, is actively seeking a driven Litigation Associate to support its Fire Litigation and Trial Practice Group. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful cases while collaborating with seasoned legal professionals. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a passion for litigation, excellent writing and courtroom skills, and a proactive approach to case management. While primarily based in San Diego, applicants located elsewhere in California may be considered for remote arrangements.

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of discovery, including propounding/responding to written discovery, managing depositions, and reviewing complex document productions

• Draft pleadings, substantive motions, and other litigation-related documents

• Conduct thorough legal research to support strategic case development

• Represent clients at court proceedings, including hearings and trials

• Participate in case strategy meetings and provide innovative legal solutions

• Maintain ongoing communication with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel

• Support and collaborate with senior attorneys on high-value cases

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in the State of California

• Minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment

• Exceptional written and oral communication skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar (mandatory)

Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat

• Familiarity with litigation technology platforms, including E-Discovery tools and platforms such as:

  • ShareFile

  • PACER

  • CaseAnywhere

  • Lexis

  • Smart Advocate

  • Everlaw

  • FileVine

  • OneLegal

• Attention to detail, reliability, organizational ability, and multitasking under pressure

Job Location:

• San Diego, CA (Hybrid); Candidates based elsewhere in California may be considered for remote work
