A law firm in Portsmouth is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 1 year of litigation experience, preferably in employment law. The role involves defending and litigating lawsuits related to employment claims, representing employers in various legal settings, providing advice on labor and employment laws, and ensuring excellence in legal representation and client service.

 

Duties:

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
  • Represent employers in court, administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitrations in employment matters, including class/collective actions and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases.
  • Provide advice and counsel to employers on labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on current court procedures and employment-related agency regulations.
  • Maintain excellent written and oral communication skills in all interactions.
  • Pay close attention to detail and maintain a commitment to excellence in all work.
  • Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Exhibit professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork, while also being capable of working independently on various projects.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • Active admission to the New Hampshire Bar or the ability to obtain admission quickly.
  • At least 1 year of litigation experience, with a strong preference for employment law background.
  • Understanding of current court procedures and employment-related agency regulations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork, along with the ability to work independently on various projects.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.

 

Certifications:
