Job Overview:
A law firm based in Costa Mesa, CA, is seeking a mid-level associate to support its expanding real estate finance team. The role involves representing financial institutions in real estate-secured lending matters. This opportunity is offered through a legal recruiting firm on behalf of the hiring law firm.

Duties:

• Draft and negotiate documentation for real estate-secured loans, including construction, bridge, and permanent loans

• Represent institutional lenders in complex financing arrangements

• Conduct thorough due diligence on real estate assets and borrowing entities

• Analyze transaction risks and collaborate with clients to mitigate issues

• Work closely with senior attorneys and client representatives throughout the deal lifecycle

• Manage multiple deals concurrently while meeting critical deadlines

Requirements:

• 4 to 6 years of experience in real estate finance, particularly on the lender side

• Demonstrated background in mortgage loan transactions, from origination to closing

• Strong proficiency in drafting and negotiating loan documents

• Proven ability to handle real estate and corporate due diligence

• High attention to detail and capable of independently managing transactions

• Active license and good standing with the State Bar of California or New York

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the California or New York State Bar
