Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Workers Compensation Attorney to join their team in Nashville, Tennessee. The attorney will manage a complex caseload from pre-litigation through trial, supporting the firm's mission to advocate for clients in workers compensation matters.

Duties

• Handle cases from pre-litigation to litigation.
• Manage pre-suit processes and assist senior attorneys post-suit.
• Draft and file litigation documents, including pleadings and motions.
• Guide clients through the legal process.
• Interact with expert witnesses and draft reports and affidavits.
• Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, and court appearances.

Requirements

• Law degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the State Bar Association.
• Minimum of 2 years of workers compensation experience.
• Experience with wage and hour claims is a plus.
• Ability to manage a high volume of cases.
• Excellent client service and communication skills.
• Self-starter with long-term career goals.
• Superior writing and oral advocacy skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
