Location:

Duties:

• Evaluate new case files and develop litigation strategies, budgets, and recommendations

• Identify pleading requirements and manage delegation of tasks to paralegals

• Prepare discovery responses and coordinate document production

• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and discovery-related proceedings

• Draft case evaluations, legal memoranda, and status reports

• Negotiate settlements, obtain client authority, and prepare cases for trial

• Maintain consistent communication with paralegals and legal support staff

• Collaborate with team members and support firm initiatives

Requirements:

• 1–5 years of experience in civil litigation; prior insurance defense experience is a plus

• Strong interpersonal skills for client, colleague, and courtroom interactions

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities

• Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn firm-specific systems

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in North Carolina (Required)
