Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Telecom Associate to join its Washington, D.C. office. The role focuses on technology, media, and telecommunications, with an emphasis on satellite, wireless, and emerging technologies. The associate will counsel companies on communications law and regulations, working closely with the M&A team to obtain regulatory approvals for major corporate transactions.

Duties

• Counsel clients on communications law and regulations.
• Collaborate with the M&A team on regulatory approvals.
• Advise on obtaining clearance from CFIUS and FCC.
• Engage directly with clients on legal matters.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of telecommunications legal experience required.
• Experience with FCC systems required.
• Satellite industry experience is a bonus.
• CFIUS experience is a plus.
• Must be admitted and in good standing with the D.C. bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Admission to the D.C. bar.
