The candidate will assist the Database Administrator in providing all-inclusive technical support for the firm’s SQL-based business applications, including the ongoing assessment of database performance and the identification/resolution of problem areas. Design, implementation, and maintenance of SQL Server databases (DB), including SQL Job Scripting for automated DB Integration, security, back-up, logging, reporting, and recovery procedures. Provide Level 2 support for all DB related front-end applications. Develop and maintain concise documentation of processes related to responsibilities. Respond as a Level 2 escalation point for Help Desk personnel. Identify, document, and manage/escalate issues as appropriate to Database Administrator. Assist in maintaining SharePoint. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Information Management, or related field is required. Should have 1-3 years overall IS work experience. Should have 1-3 years of experience with Microsoft SQL server administration including experience with stored procedures, reporting, and query tools and practices. Experience with ProLaw is preferred. Experience with SSRS and a general knowledge of application development using Microsoft development tools is required. Experience creating and maintaining an extraction, transformation, and loading process from source systems or files into a data warehouse is required. Experience with data management and data process flowcharting techniques is required.
