Duties

• Manage and litigate civil and workers' compensation cases from inception through resolution or appellate level.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and clarity.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial proceedings.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
• Collaborate with clients to gather relevant information and provide clear legal guidance.
• Stay current on developments in civil litigation and workers' compensation law and related legal fields to enhance case strategies.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice law in the state of California.
• Knowledge and experience in Civil Litigation and/or Workers' Compensation.
• Proficiency in providing legal advice and conducting legal research.
• Strong skills in negotiation and drafting legal documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Valid Bar license in California.

Skills

• Experience using legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Excellent research, writing, and legal drafting skills.
