Senior Patent Agent

Profile

Austin office of a boutique law firm is seeking a senior patent agent. The candidate will practice before the USPTO so registration is required. Must have 5+ years of experience preparing and prosecuting patents as well as a background in electrical engineering or computer engineering (hardware/software). The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the various power converter topologies and proven circuit analysis skills, experience with integrated circuits (ICs) and IC layout, interconnection, and packaging for portable electronics, experience with gate drive and protection circuits, power switches and semiconductor alternatives (Si/SiC/GaN MOSFET, diode, etc.). Experience with both utility and design applications is preferred.
