Key performance areas

As a Production Supervisor of the Sub Assembly Mast department, you will direct and coordinate daily production activities with your assigned team at the plant, including all shifts, to achieve the production plans. You will develop a process to encourage improvements and implement new technologies for continuous improvement in delivery, quality, and productivity. The Production Supervisor is responsible for the coaching and developing of people along with ensuring & securing commitment to current and long-range team strategies, objectives & plans.

Additionally, the Production Supervisor Sub Assembly Mast responsibilities include:

Maintain capacity level to meet demanded workload to achieve efficiency, on time delivery, quality and other performance targets

Provide all team production workers with the information and support as need to perform his/her job to the best of their ability.

Responsible for training new employees assigned to production team and performance management for all direct reports.

Maintain clear communication in department regarding performance, personnel, salary, and other important topics.

Conducts daily toolbox talks with personnel. Participate in risk assessments. Maintain and develop safety culture within department together with EHS organization.

Reviews reports and confers with Quality Assurance, Warehouse, Engineering, and Management to solve business problems and continuously report improvement ideas for products and operations.

Maintain and develop 5S activities.

Complies with Sandvik safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements.

Your profile

The Production Supervisor – Sub Assembly Mast should have:

5+ years in the manufacturing field along with a minimum of 2 years in a coaching, mentoring, project lead role.

Strong interpersonal skills along with excellent communication and listening skills.

Experience working with MS Office and ERP systems is a plus.

Minimum HS diploma or GED required.

Highly proactive, dedicated, and driven to achieve goals and targets while ensuring a safe, working environment.

Solve problems and possess sound decision-making capabilities as well as multi-tasking.
