Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in Miami, FL, seeks a litigation associate to join its Consumer Financial Services and Data Practice. The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of litigation experience, with a focus on representing financial institutions or similar regulated entities. The position offers the opportunity to work across complex commercial disputes involving both federal and state jurisdictions. Candidates should demonstrate strong research, drafting, and courtroom experience and possess a deep interest in financial technology, regulatory litigation, and data-centric legal matters.

Duties:

• Handle litigation matters involving financial services and consumer data practices

• Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other legal documentation for court filings

• Manage discovery, depositions, and witness preparation

• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations

• Conduct legal research and analysis related to state and federal financial regulations

• Collaborate with colleagues in multi-jurisdictional matters and complex case strategies

• Advise financial institutions on dispute resolution strategies and litigation risk

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience in commercial litigation

• Prior representation of financial institutions or entities subject to federal/state financial regulations

• Demonstrated ability to manage litigation independently or with minimal supervision

• Strong writing, research, and analytical skills

• Admitted to practice in Florida and good standing

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership with The Florida Bar

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of financial regulatory litigation frameworks

• Proficient in managing e-discovery and trial preparation

• Skilled in oral advocacy and written legal argumentation

• Ability to handle multiple complex cases simultaneously
