The position offers the opportunity to work on both litigation and advisory matters, including workplace compliance, employee disputes, and policy development for a diverse client base.

Duties

• Represent clients in employment-related litigation, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour disputes
• Advise employers on workplace policies, compliance, investigations, and risk management
• Draft and review employment contracts, handbooks, severance agreements, and workplace policies
• Handle pre-litigation matters such as demand letters, negotiations, and mediations
• Conduct internal investigations and provide training on employment law compliance
• Respond to agency charges and represent clients before administrative bodies (e.g., EEOC, DFEH)
• Keep clients informed of evolving local, state, and federal labor laws

Requirements

• 5 years of experience practicing employment law
• Familiarity with California and federal employment statutes and regulations
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively
• Strong client-relations skills with a professional and solutions-oriented approach

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active and in good standing with the California State Bar
