A law firm seeks an Associate for its Litigation group, focusing on Class Actions, in Palo Alto, CA. This role is open to candidates across the US, with a preference for those based in the New York metropolitan area.

Duties

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
• Draft well-reasoned legal documents, including briefs and motions.
• Assist in managing complex cases from inception to resolution.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular updates and advice.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative case strategies.
• Participate in high-level legal activities such as court hearings and negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and stay updated on legal precedents.
• Engage in professional development to enhance legal and leadership skills.
• Contribute to firm programs, civic organizations, and pro bono work.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Experience with class action defense, including securities, data privacy, or consumer litigation.
• Experience managing multi-matter dockets.
• Previous federal clerkship is preferred.
• Strong persuasive legal writing skills.
• Experience in large-scale discovery of matters.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD)
