The successful candidate will work on a variety of general civil litigation cases, including complex disputes, trials, and appeals, supported by a dedicated professional staff and an assigned paralegal.

Duties

• Handle a diverse caseload of general civil litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research, analysis, and case preparation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and represent clients in court hearings and trials.
• Collaborate closely with an assigned paralegal for efficient case management.
• Communicate with clients and opposing counsel to negotiate settlements and resolutions.
• Stay current with changes in laws and regulations that may impact cases.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar in Illinois.
• 5 years of experience in general civil litigation preferred; motivated recent graduates will be considered.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the state bar in Illinois.
