Duties

• Represent clients in all phases of commercial litigation, from pre-litigation through trial and appeal.
• Advise clients on legal issues related to contracts, business disputes, fraud, intellectual property, and other commercial matters.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to clients on litigation matters.
• Manage complex litigation cases, including coordinating discovery, depositions, and expert witnesses.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and trials as necessary.
• Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions on behalf of clients.
• Maintain and manage client relationships, ensuring timely updates and effective communication.
• Stay informed of developments in commercial litigation law and related areas.

Requirements

• 8 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• Strong experience in handling complex commercial disputes, including contract and business tort cases.
• Proven success in managing and litigating cases through trial and appeal.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively advocate on behalf of clients.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of Louisiana.
