Location

Duties

• Manage personal injury defense cases from inception through resolution

• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and appeals

• Conduct depositions and discovery

• Represent clients in trials and appellate proceedings

• Defend municipal entities and other institutional defendants (preferred but not required)

• Collaborate with legal staff to support case preparation

• Maintain accurate and organized case files

Requirements

• Minimum several years of litigation experience, specifically in personal injury defense

• Proven ability to independently manage a full litigation caseload

• Familiarity with municipal defense litigation preferred

• Strong trial and courtroom skills

• Excellent legal writing and research ability

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Must be licensed and in good standing to practice law in New York State

Skills

• Proficiency with Westlaw and other legal research tools

• Strong oral and written advocacy skills

• Ability to manage deadlines and work efficiently under pressure

• Competence in managing both trial and appellate matters
