Junior and Mid-Level Patent Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm is seeking a Junior and Mid-Level Patent Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will possess superior academic credentials, exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal skills, and have 1-6 years of experience in patent litigation. Degrees or industry experience in high tech or life sciences fields are preferred. The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees.

Duties:

• Represent clients in patent litigation cases in federal courts and before the International Trade Commission (ITC)
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, briefs, and other legal documents
• Participate in discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, and managing e-discovery
• Prepare for and conduct depositions and hearings
• Assist in case strategy and development, including pre-trial and trial preparation
• Work collaboratively with a team of attorneys and support staff
• Communicate with clients to provide updates and strategic advice

Requirements:

• 1-6 years of patent litigation experience
• Admission to the Bar in the state of Washington, D.C.
• Superior academic credentials
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Degrees or industry experience in high tech or life sciences fields are preferred

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in the state of Washington, D.C.
