A law firm seeks a Commercial and Construction Litigator in Fort Myers, Florida, to join its litigation practice. The ideal candidate will manage complex real estate and construction disputes through all phases, from initial pleadings to trial preparation, while collaborating with colleagues to deliver strategic solutions.

Duties

• Manage all aspects of commercial and construction litigation, including drafting pleadings, engaging in discovery, and handling motion practice.

• Prepare for and conduct trials, depositions, and hearings, with first-chair responsibilities as appropriate.

• Draft motions, briefs, contracts, and client opinions.

• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop litigation strategies and assess risk.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in commercial and/or construction litigation.

• Demonstrated first-chair trial experience on complex matters.

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for interacting with clients and opposing counsel.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the Florida Bar in good standing.
