Job Overview

A Princeton, NJ-based law firm is seeking a driven and detail-oriented litigation associate to support its commercial civil litigation practice. This role is ideal for a mid-level attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is confident in courtroom advocacy, and values collaboration. The position involves working on matters for a diverse client base, including financial institutions, corporate entities, and nonprofit organizations.

Duties

• Draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and motions

• Conduct in-depth legal research and analyze applicable statutes, regulations, and case law

• Participate in discovery, including preparing and responding to written requests

• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts

• Represent clients during hearings and proceedings at the state level

• Assist senior attorneys during trial preparation and serve as second chair during trials

• Provide strategic litigation support to clients from case intake through resolution

Requirements

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in civil or commercial litigation

• Demonstrated capability in managing multiple case matters simultaneously

• Familiarity with courtroom procedures and confident oral advocacy skills

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar (active and in good standing)

• Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar is a plus

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in New Jersey

• Pennsylvania Bar admission is advantageous but not required

• Proficiency in case management and litigation support tools
