Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a motivated Associate Litigation Attorney to support senior litigation attorneys in various aspects of legal practice. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in litigation, client management, legal research, and trial preparation. The candidate will work with clients, draft legal documents, conduct research, and gain experience in municipal, state, and federal court proceedings.

Location:

• Henderson, NV

Duties:

• Collaborate with and support senior litigation attorneys
• Assist clients in evaluating issues, claims, and formulating strategies
• Help clients comply with municipal, state, and federal obligations
• Gather and review evidence, manage, and produce materials as necessary
• Conduct witness interviews and perform site visits
• Draft correspondence to clients and opposing parties
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other court-related documents
• Prepare and serve written discovery, as well as respond to opposing parties' discovery requests
• Facilitate the preparation of expert reports
• Take and defend depositions of percipient and expert witnesses
• Make appearances in municipal, state, and federal courts
• Engage in alternate dispute resolution processes both before and during litigation
• Assist with trial-related efforts

Requirements:

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school
• License to practice law in Nevada
• Strong interest in litigation
• Outstanding time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Nevada

Skills:

• Strong interest and aptitude in litigation
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Time management and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal software
