Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate with 3-6 years of experience in commercial and/or general liability litigation to join its Wilmington, Delaware office. Duties
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other documents.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Represent clients in mediation.
- Draft and answer discovery requests.
- Assist in trial preparation and trial proceedings.
Requirements
- Experience with state and federal courts preferred.
- Experience with state and federal administrative agencies preferred.
- Effective communication skills with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to travel locally for court appearances and other legal proceedings.
- Proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to client service.
- Admission to the state bar of Delaware required; Ohio admission a plus.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Admission to the state bar of Delaware.
