A law firm in Saint Louis, MI is seeking a Mid-Level Construction Litigation Associate Attorney with 5+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in construction litigation matters, real estate, and commercial litigation. They should be eager to assist in other local business litigation disputes and possess excellent academic credentials and communication skills. The candidate must have experience in all stages of litigation, including drafting pleadings, preparing and responding to discovery, taking and defending depositions, motion practice, and court appearances.

 

Duties:

  • Handle construction litigation, real estate, and commercial litigation matters.
  • Assist in local business litigation disputes.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related documents.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests.
  • Take and defend fact, party, and expert depositions.
  • Engage in motion practice and court appearances.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in a team-oriented environment.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Michigan or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction and/or commercial/real estate litigation.
  • Strong understanding of construction law, real estate law, and commercial litigation.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Exceptional research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of Michigan or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
