Duties:

• Client Representation: Represent clients in bankruptcy and litigation matters, focusing on small business Chapter 11 reorganizations under sub-chapter V.
• Case Management: Create and manage bankruptcy or litigation plans for multiple clients, ensuring successful resolutions such as confirmation, discharge, or settlement.
• Court Appearances: Represent clients in court, handling motions, discovery, depositions, and hearings.
• Negotiation: Negotiate with opposing counsels to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
• Research & Strategy: Research legal issues and construct new tactics to win against well-funded adversaries.
• Client Relations: Meet or exceed client expectations by managing cases effectively and maintaining communication throughout the process.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with a team of attorneys, paralegals, case managers, and legal assistants for case support and success.

Requirements:

• Licensing: Licensed Texas Attorney in good standing.
• Skills & Attributes:
  • Strong prioritization skills for managing cases and clients.
  • Proficient in drafting motions, legal research, and oral arguments.
  • Comfortable representing clients in court.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Willingness to collaborate and support team members.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a desire for mutually beneficial outcomes.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.

Skills:

• Knowledge of business bankruptcy law, specifically Chapter 11 sub-chapter V.
• Excellent research and drafting skills.
• Ability to handle motions, depositions, hearings, and trials.
