The School of Accounting, Finance, Information Systems and Business Law (AFIB) invites applications for a 9-month tenure track position in Business Law at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor beginning Fall semester 2020. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until a candidate has been selected.
Teaching responsibilities include three courses (face-to-face or online format) per semester at the undergraduate or graduate level. The successful candidate will possess the ability to teach diverse legal topics and their business applications. Intellectual contributions are expected in one or more of the following areas:
Environmental Law
Position Summary: The successful candidates must meet the AACSB accreditation requirements regarding academic qualification of college of business faculty. The AACSB requirements for academic qualification mandate a minimum level of relevant research and publication.
Primary duty assignment will be the main campus in Cullowhee. However, the duty assignment may involve distance and/or online delivery methodologies. The successful candidate will be expected to advise students, be involved in appropriate student organizations, and fulfill normal institutional service obligations. Ability to maintain an active research agenda resulting in scholarship in refereed journals is expected. Scholarship should pertain to the areas of teaching.

Minimum Qualifications
The minimum of a JD degree from an ABA accredited law school is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Five years’ undergraduate or graduate teaching experience. Established record of intellectual contributions.
