Location:

Duties:

  • Represent clients in complex cases involving product liability, employment disputes, premises liability, and catastrophic personal injury defense.
  • Develop and implement litigation strategies, managing the progress of cases from start to finish.
  • Oversee discovery efforts, including conducting depositions and preparing expert witnesses.
  • Draft and argue motions, briefs, and other legal documents in support of clients' positions.
  • Lead settlement negotiations and explore alternative dispute resolution (ADR) when appropriate.
  • Advocate for clients in court proceedings, including hearings, motions, and trials.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel to clients on litigation risks and methods to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys and paralegals to deliver high-quality client service.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of litigation experience.
  • Proven ability to manage complex litigation cases and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Experience in trial preparation and courtroom advocacy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and organization.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a results-driven approach to case management.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining professionalism.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar license in Michigan (or ability to obtain).

Skills:

  • Strong litigation and case management skills.
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and argumentation skills.
  • Skilled in trial preparation, motion practice, and discovery processes.
  • Effective settlement negotiation and alternative dispute resolution techniques.
  • Ability to work with diverse clients and legal professionals.
