Duties

  • Handle workers' compensation cases from inception to completion, ensuring all procedural requirements are met.
  • Investigate claims, gather evidence, and build strong cases to support clients.
  • Represent injured workers seeking wage and medical benefits, ensuring they receive deserved compensation and care.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents related to workers' compensation cases.
  • Converse with clients, witnesses, insurance adjusters, and medical providers to gather relevant information.
  • Serve as legal counsel at hearings, mediations, trials, and depositions.
  • Maintain effective communication with all parties to efficiently resolve cases.
  • Draft settlement demands and negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters and defense counsel.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring clients' needs are met with professionalism.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Louisiana State Bar and in good standing.
  • Extensive experience in handling workers' compensation cases.
  • Strong understanding of Louisiana workers' compensation laws and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Louisiana State Bar.
