A law firm seeks a dynamic Labor & Employment Associate with 2 years of litigation experience to join their team in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal writing skills and a proven ability to thrive in a busy, collegial environment.

Duties

• Handle temporary restraining order and temporary injunction expedited relief proceedings.
• Engage in trade secret misappropriation and noncompete litigation.
• Conduct wage and hour class action litigation and single plaintiff employment litigation.
• Draft and research pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
• Participate in trial preparation in both state and federal courts.
• Engage in settlement conferences and negotiations.

Requirements

• 2 years of labor and employment litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated client relationship and business development skills.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Education

• JD from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing of the Texas Bar.
