Duties
- Advise clients on state and federal privacy laws.
- Conduct deal diligence in mergers and acquisitions, financings, and commercial transactions.
- Provide strategic counseling on product development and governance programs.
- Handle data breach investigations and defense of regulatory actions.
- Support litigation and incident response efforts.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with privacy laws and deal diligence.
- Familiarity with data-driven technologies, including AI/ML and biometrics.
- Experience with GDPR/UK GDPR frameworks and international data transfers preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, ECPA, Patriot/Cloud Act, and GDPR a plus.
- Experience with data breach response and defense of enforcement actions.
- Large law firm experience required.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
Certifications
- Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
