Trademark and Copyright Associate Attorney Litigation

Profile

A law firm located in Menlo Park, CA, is seeking a Trademark and Copyright Associate Attorney (Litigation) to join their team. The Trademark and Copyright Associate Attorney (Litigation) will handle all aspects of district court litigation for trademark and copyright matters. This includes drafting and responding to discovery, managing document review, conducting legal research, drafting motions, preparing for depositions, and assisting with pre-trial preparation. Experience with pre-litigation investigations, settlement negotiations, enforcement actions, UDRPs, and contested matters before the TTAB is a plus. The ideal candidate will possess strong academic credentials, excellent legal writing skills, and a demonstrated interest in becoming a top-tier litigator. Admission to the California State Bar is highly preferred.

Duties:

• Manage all aspects of district court litigation for trademark and copyright matters.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests.
• Coordinate document review and management.
• Conduct thorough legal research on trademark and copyright issues.
• Draft motions and other court filings.
• Prepare for depositions and assist with pre-trial preparations.
• Conduct pre-litigation investigations and enforcement actions.
• Participate in settlement negotiations.
• Handle contested matters before the TTAB.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar highly preferred.
• 3+ years of trademark and copyright litigation experience.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent legal writing skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Education & Certifications:
