Job Overview:
A respected law firm in Delaware is seeking a full-time mid-level Attorney with at least three years of civil litigation experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team of legal professionals in a client-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have strong research, writing, negotiation, and litigation skills, and be prepared to manage cases from inception through resolution.
Location:
Georgetown, Delaware
On-site position (Monday to Friday schedule)
Duties:
Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy
Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, and legal correspondence
Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations
Negotiate settlements with a focus on client advocacy
Maintain organized and up-to-date case files and documentation
Communicate with clients to understand objectives and provide strategic legal advice
Monitor changes in legislation and case law relevant to active matters and firm practice areas
Collaborate with internal legal team on complex matters as needed
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation
Strong background in legal writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy
Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines independently
Familiarity with legal research platforms such as Westlaw (preferred)
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in the State of Delaware (required)
