Job Overview: A law firm in Hartford, CT, seeks a skilled Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of JD legal experience. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing discovery, possess strong legal writing and research skills, and preferably have experience litigating ERISA class actions or other cases involving complex financial products.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Assist in discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, managing document production, and preparing for depositions.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
• Participate in hearings, trials, and other court proceedings as necessary.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and litigation tactics.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Connecticut State Bar (active and in good standing).
• 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably with a focus on litigation.
• Proven ability to manage discovery processes effectively.
• Strong legal writing and research skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience litigating ERISA class actions or cases involving complex financial products is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
